Polk’s consumer marketing file ensures accurate, deliverable information that will increase the effectiveness of your direct marketing offerings.

Bankruptcy data includes a disposition code, allowing customers to segment between individuals who may have recently filed and those who have recently been discharged. There is also a "bankruptcy type" field indicating what chapter (7, 11, 12, or 13) was filed. Combining these two codes will give you access to a very select, highly targeted market. A status field indicating the current activity on the bankruptcy is available as well as the file date.

Restrictions

Due to the sensitive nature of bankruptcy data and the privacy issues associated with it, the following restrictions apply to list rentals involving bankruptcy selections:

• Sample mail piece and/or telemarketing solicitations must not refer to or imply knowledge of the fact that a household or individual is known to have filed bankruptcy. No reference may be made to the bankruptcy file date, bankruptcy disposition, or bankruptcy status date
• Polk must receive AND approve sample mailing pieces and/or telemarketing scripts prior to list shipment
